History

Ciparo started trading in European recyclables with China in 1992, making it one of the first trading companies to export waste paper and plastics to the Far East.

As Asian economies started developing, the demand for secondary raw materials and half-products increased significantly. Ciparo met this market’s needs and established itself, already in the early 90s, as one of the key suppliers of recyclable materials.

In its initial steps, Ciparo focused on exporting used paper from European and North American waste companies. Starting with bulk grades of paper and plastics, we gradually increased our volumes year after year. At the same time, we established a solid network throughout China, opening a total of 5 branch offices, and in Vietnam opening 2 more offices in 2002.

Our offices in China and Vietnam, provide us with an insight view of the local markets and help us create a big network of customers which is, to this day, still expanding to other parts of the world, such as in India, in Indonesia and in Thailand.

Today

Through our offices in Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Qingdao, Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi, we are able to supply the most important regions of China and Vietnam. We are also represented in India and Indonesia, and we supply the European paper industry.

We pride ourselves on our direct approach to business, our business structure and our knowledgeable staff. We have a thorough knowledge of and experience on all different paper and plastic grades, and we have outlets for all qualities and quantities.

Moreover, we are fully trained in logistics and shipping regulations; an essential element when trading recovered paper and plastics with Asia. With these tools at hand, we are able to work fast, and play into the latest developments in the recycling and papermaking business.

Ciparo has, at the moment, 15 fulltime staff working in Europe. We have warehouses in Rotterdam and Antwerp, where we ship our products from, but we  also ship from other European main ports like Hamburg, Felixstowe, Le Havre, Barcelona, Piraeus and from many other main ports in North and South America and in Australia. Baling facilities are at hand in the US and in China.

In China and Vietnam, more than 50 people are employed, giving us the much needed local knowledge to be successful in business. Our multilingual staff, speaking a range of languages like Dutch, English, German, French, Polish, Spanish, Cantonese and Vietnamese, are always ready to see what they can do for your organization.

Apart from trading in recyclables, Ciparo has a considerable share in the following company:
